Fondation Bois-Gentil
Fondation Bois-Gentil: a multi-faceted identity
Founded in 1983, the Fondation Bois-Gentil is a not-for-profit charitable foundation that helps the elderly and people with mental health problems. It offers a range of facilities in Lausanne: EMS, EPSM, protected flats, restaurants and CAT.
When the Fondation Bois-Gentil contacted NOW*, it was looking for an agency to create a new identity. An excellent piece of research had already been carried out by the students at SAWI, which gave rise to the slogan “Because life is made up of links”. That was the starting point for all our creative work.
A logo that emphasises values and emotions
The dotted lines in the logo, linked by a gradient, illustrate the notion of links expressed by the signature. They come in different colour codes for each area of activity: green for the elderly, purple for adult psychiatry and a soft red for the restaurants.
Colours that connect
The colours used for the logo are also used for all the media. They create a common thread where each structure is recognisable. They can be found in all the projects we have carried out: the website, brochures, stationery, external signage for the buildings and the Foundation’s vehicles. NOW* also produced staff photos and elements for internal communication.
A “family” name
The links are also reflected in the naming of the various structures. They all bear the words “Fondation Bois-Gentil” like a family name. For example: EMS Sauvabelin Fondation Bois-Gentil, Villa Ruchonnet Fondation Bois-Gentil, etc. A family where kindness reigns and where each person is considered a resident with a capital A.
A genuine link with NOW*
When we won the competition for the Fondation Bois-Gentil, it was during the COVID pandemic, just before Christmas 2020. In those circumstances, we saw the assignment as a real gift, and we still see it as such today. The bond established with the Foundation’s staff is particularly dear to our hearts. We would like to thank the Foundation for the trust it has placed in us.
